Training Coordinator

Role

We are looking for an organized, experienced, energetic, and personable Training Coordinator to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing all aspects of a training and certification program for our clients and internal staff. Training will include written materials and videos. We will leverage in-person training at our office, webinars, video, travelling to client sites, and conducting product demonstrations at various events. Duties may include managing budget, physical training resources, working with vendors, performing product demonstrations, managing staff, and other related activities.

The ideal candidate will be a confident public speaker and have a passion for teaching and collaborating with others. The candidate will also be responsible for outlining a logical approach to train on our software which support complex business processes, as well as, researching and selecting the best platform to deliver and utilize training materials.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a certification program for our clients, that will include onsite and remote training, as well as, testing to confirm comprehension

  • Play a lead role ensuring consistent branding and messaging for communications in the market place related to training and articles for our web site

  • Design and implement printed system documentation, as well as, videos to support training for our clients and internal staff

  • Host webinar training and product demonstrations

  • Edit materials, not only for grammar and punctuation, but also to ensure a consistent voice of our company is represented

  • Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions

  • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed

  • Use known, and trending, education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques

  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials

  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design

  • Maintain curriculum database and training records

  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for external client subject matter experts

  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities, equipment, and budget

  • Conduct employee surveys and interviews

  • May contact and utilize outside vendors and resources for instructional technology

  • Test and review created materials

  • Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment

Requirements

Experience

  • Five years’ previous experience as a Training Coordinator, Manger over training, trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position

  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting

  • Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms

  • Experience with learning management systems and web delivery tools

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, training, business, human resources, information technology, or related field
