Release Manager

Location: Pune, India



The Release Manager is responsible for planning and controlling the movement of releases to test and live environments. His/her primary objective is to ensure that the integrity of the live environment is protected and that the correct components are released. Will own the release and deployment function and manage the end-to-end lifecycle including release management, planning, build, deployment, support and closure.


  • Plan the deployments and release cycles across portfolio of products /solutions, environments and client implementations
  • Produce Deployment and Implementation Plans and Weekly Release Reporting
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the engineering, delivery and implementation teams as required
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure that releases are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
  • Develops scripts and employs automation tools to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various environments
  • Maintain a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
  • Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current and future needs


  • BE/B-Tech/MCA or equivalent degree from a recognized university with good academic track
  • 10+ years of total experience in software product development, delivery and project management related roles
  • At least 5 years in software product release and release management with good understanding product lifecycle 
  • Prior experience in release manage around BPM tools like Pega, Salesforce, Siebel, Appian, Apptus etc. or similar other solutions is highly desirable
  • Experience in Agile/DevOps project lifecycles
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, partner, and collaborate
  • Dedication to achieving outstanding customer results with a team-oriented drive and a demonstrated ability to lead by example
  • Must have a solution oriented mindset and be able to communicate effectively to multiple levels
  • Exposure to US Healthcare Domain, preferably in Payer or Provider Space.
  • Technology Experience – MS .NET
